Celtic boss Neil Lennon, like the majority of the Hoops support, isn’t very happy about the Hoops’ schedule in December.
The Hoops at the moment look like playing nine games in December. Lennon recently revealed to the Scottish Sun that he was going to talk to the Celtic board about the situation.
“I’ll need to have a look at the fixture list. I’ll speak to people above me and see what they think” he said.
“A big ask”

“It’s a big ask and even if there wasn’t an extra game thrown in, eight games would still be a big ask.”
Unfortunately, it looks as it the Hoops will end up playing more games than bitter rivals Rangers in December. The have had their trip to Hearts rescheduled for December due to the Betfred Cup, whilst Rangers’ match against St Johnstone may be scheduled for after the winter break.
At the moment, the Hoops are set to play four games in nine days in December. That will stretch the Hoops squad to the limit.
The Hoops board released a statement on Monday, but it didn’t mention the busy schedule in December. Instead, it talked about the inconvenience of kick-off times for the Hoops support.
Hoops may need to just get on with things

That is a laudable gesture. But it looks like Lennon’s discussions with the board won’t lead to any fixture changes. That means the Hoops will just have to get on with things.
It will take all of Neil Lennon’s managerial nous to get nine wins out of nine for the Bhoys in December. Hopefully more discussions between the manager and the board take place over the international break and the Hoops release a statement about the December schedule.
The fans would appreciate such a gesture, even if it seems unlike that there will be any change in the upcoming schedule for the club.
