At the moment, we don’t yet know who will be Celtic’s manager next season. Neil Lennon is currently the interim boss.
However, there are no guarantees he will be the Hoops boss next season. Lennon’s audition to be Celtic boss permanently could come down to one game – the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final.

Fans will expect a win
The Hoops are set to face Aberdeen or Rangers at Hampden Park next month. It is a game that the fans will expect the Hoops to win, especially after the cup success under Neil Lennon.

It would not look good for Lennon to be the man to lose the first Celtic domestic cup tie in three years. He didn’t have the best record at Hampden in his first spell as Hoops boss. A repeat of that in 2019 would not look good.
Obviously, the most important trophy for the Hoops to retain this season is the Scottish Premiership. The Bhoys are still in pole position for that despite the recent 0-0 draw with Aberdeen.

Cup tie takes prescience over league match
Because the title looks sewn up – it should be with an eight point lead – the cup tie probably takes precedence over the Glasgow derby in the league.
The cup tie will be fraught with danger as it is a one-off game. Despite that, it is still a game Neil Lennon’s Celtic side should win. His managerial future could depend on it.
