Celtic fans are beginning to see and hear more from new manager Brendan Rodgers after his official confirmation earlier this week.
The Bhoys support had to make do with a written statement when his three-year contract to succeed Ange Postecoglou was announced. Now we know a bit more about the second phase of his unveiling.
The club have already published a short video message from him this evening, with a longer interview expected on official social media channels later tonight.
Tomorrow, Rodgers will face both the mainstream broadcast media in a press conference at Celtic Park with a fan media event also scheduled for the same afternoon at the stadium.
Then, this weekend, the new Celtic boss will be appearing on the ‘Tubes & Ange Golf Life’ YouTube channel, which boasts almost 200,000 subscribers.
Rodgers has played a bit of golf with Peter ‘Tubes’ Dale of Soccer AM fame, speaking about his football career and taking up the new challenge with Celtic.
The channel stated on Instagram: “Well this was incredible! Brendan Rodgers on Golf Life and what a video this is going to be! Some great golf and amazing listening to him about football and his return to Celtic!”
The video is expected to appear on YouTube on Sunday and will be an interesting watch for many fans getting reacquainted with Rodgers and looking for information on the direction of his second spell in Scotland.
Certainly, the next few days of media appearances will set the tone for the early start of Celtic’s summer as the staff get to work preparing for the 2023/24 season.
