Celtic player Ewan Henderson is the latest man to talk up the methods and impact of Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou appears to be making his mark on the squad after an intense training camp in Wales.

Senior players such as Callum McGregor and Albian Ajeti have already spoken up in favour of the manager. They’ve sounded committed and impressed by Postecoglou’s new tactical plan.

Now Henderson wants to go on the record supporting his new boss.

Speaking to The Scottish Sun, he said: “The new manager’s been excellent. Since the first day, he’s been very professional and I’m buzzing about things.

A new dawn beckons for Celtic in Europe, as Joe Hart shows his class once again

“If you look at the history of his teams, it doesn’t matter what age you are, if you’re good enough you’ll play, so that’s good for all the young players here. We know if we do well we’ll get a chance.

“Every day we’re working to a really high standard. Every session is very intense. If you’re doing that in training you’re obviously going to  benefit on the pitch in games.

“Every manager has their own things and every manager demands different things from us.  He has been very intense, but I’ve enjoyed it.”

It’s a huge year for Ewan Henderson at Celtic

I get it. He’s hardly going to be slating the 55-year-old. However, it is heartening that the messaging is consistent from the players.

All of them have noted how intense and difficult training has been. We didn’t hear those kinds of words coming out of Celtic last season.

Henderson has a huge year ahead. What happens for him at the Bhoys now will largely depend on his effort levels and ability. We have a manager in place not afraid to give young players an opportunity.

The midfielder is now 21 and with less than 12 months left on his contract is at a definite crossroads at Celtic Park.

It sounds like he’s prepared to do everything to make it into Postecoglou’s plans.

In other news, Carl Starfelt to Celtic is nearly done.
