New Celtic recruit Moritz Bauer may only have made his debut for the club on Sunday, but fans already want to see more of him. Or one aspect in particular.
The Austrian full-back replaced the injured Nir Bitton after 66 minutes of the Ibrox victory and immediately made an impression with a trademark monster throw-in.

Bauer, 27, launched the throw in from his own half over the Rangers defence and immediately won his side a corner. And that contribution didn’t go unnoticed on Celtic Twitter.

Bauer makes an early Celtic impression
The loan signing from Stoke played pretty well after being thrust into the derby spotlight. Bauer wasn’t spectacular but he didn’t have to be. His job was to keep the right-side secure and he did so with Rangers creating nothing down that flank in the closing stages.
However saying that, he still has his work cut out getting into Neil Lennon’s starting XI. Hatem Abd Elhamed has been terrific in his early weeks as a Celtic player and has already become a bit of a cult hero with the supporters.

He, too, was terrific in the Ibrox win and will look to keep his place in the side after the international break.
But Bauer coped admirably at Ibrox and even contributed to one of the moments of the afternoon. It was he who was fouled disgracefully by Jordan Jones in an event that saw the Gers sub given his marching orders.
Bauer was back up within seconds while Jones seems to have done himself some more long-term damage. The Austrian is made of steely stuff, that much is clear. His throws are a welcome bonus.
