New Celtic signing Osaze Urhoghide's must-watch Twitter video

New Celtic signing Osaze Urhoghide seems to relish having an online presence.

We all know footballers love their Instagram profiles. Some even weigh in on Twitter. But Urhoghide has a presence across the board including on YouTube and TikTok, as we discussed yesterday.

This will become more and more common with young players coming through the game. Those who have grown up in the age of streaming and ‘putting yourself out there’ will want to share insight on their lives and passions.

Some are even building brands and that kind of hustle has to be respected.

We’ve all seen many highlights videos of new signings over the years too. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen one posted by the player themselves.

An exciting seven days for Celtic fans is about to get underway

Urhoghide posted clips from the early stages of his career on Twitter in April 2020.

There is optimism surrounding Osaze Urhoghide signing at Celtic

This is, of course, now interesting to us now he’s in the door at Celtic Park.

I’m sure he’s made progress since then and is evolving as a player, but it does give us a bit of insight into his playstyle.

Primarily, what I took away from it was his absolute hunger to get stuck in and get on the ball. That’s definitely something that would have immediately appealed to new manager Ange Postecoglou.

He appears to absolutely love dribbling forward with the ball too. We know he can play in a number of positions across the backline, so it’ll be interesting to see where he settles.

Although he has height, I’m getting full-back/wing-back vibes, I have to say. However, he played the majority of his games at Sheffield Wednesday as a central defender.

These highlights videos rarely mean much for a career at the club, but I still love them. And I still love the optimism of a new signing.

I can’t wait to see Urhoghide in action!

In other news, Celtic supporters have noticed a positive change in Albian Ajeti already.
