He stated: “It’s a massive project under Ange, and it’s something that I want to be part of. I’m not going to lie to you; I’m a massive Celtic fan, so I love him, and my whole family loves him. I haven’t really said this, to be fair. He’s also a massive factor (in joining Tottenham) because playing under a good manager important for me and I’ve still got loads to learn because I’m only 18.”
It may come as a surprise that Gray has revealed his love for Celtic; nevertheless, he is eligible to play for the Scotland national team and his dad Andy turned out for the Tartan Army on two occasions, so there must be a connection there.
Either way, it is fascinating to hear him talk excitedly about working with Postecoglou following the Aussie’s sterling work at Parkhead, and hopefully, the pair of them can strike up a recipe for success in the English top-flight.
