Celtic fans may be reminded of some wonderful European nights by next season’s away kit.

The rumoured shirt has been leaked on social media and it’s a bit of a cracker. The image posted by Mick Booker on Twitter shows a simply designed yellow shirt with a black layer at the top.

It is rumoured to be the club’s new away shirt but could also be one used solely in European encounters.

Memories of Seville

It is likely to remind Celtic fans of the away kit worn during the 2002/2003 season. The Hoops ultimately won nothing under Martin O’Neill that campaign but they did embark on one of the finest European journeys in recent memory.

Celtic reached the final of the UEFA Cup in Seville. The majority of the ties were won on the roads with the Hoops wearing a similar yellow shirt as they dispatched Blackburn Rovers, Stuttgart and Boavista among others.

If the current side turn do turn out in the leaked shirt in Europe next season then fans may be dreaming of a similar journey. It is sure to sell well in the shops.
