Nir Bitton was reunited with former Celtic team-mate Efe Ambrose in Livingston last night.
The Nigerian, who spent five years on our books between 2012 and 2017, was part of the Livi side that held Neil Lennon’s men to a 2-2 draw at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Bitton also played the entirety of the game – for the second successive match.

And he was clearly pretty pleased to see Ambrose – who he also played with at Ashdod – as he took to his Instagram account post-match to share a snap of the pair talking.
Bitton kept it short and sweet saying: “Good to see my brother back in Scottish football.”

Ambrose is liked because of his conduct
You’d be hard pressed to find too many average former Celtic players who are liked as much as Ambrose.
That probably says as much about his personality as anything else could.
Ambrose is liked because he is an honest professional who kept quiet during his time at the club but always put in a shift.
He had his ropey moments, and you’d often rather he was playing against you than with you, but the defender is a class act both on and off the park.

That was highlighted in the comments we brought you last night as he promised he wouldn’t celebrate with a summersault if he scored against us.
It’s always nice to see ex-Hoops team-mates still getting on – even if it is on the pitch quite literally after a Celtic game.
Efe will be more than welcome at the ten in-a-row party, if that comes to fruition.
