Ipswich fans have been reacting to reports that former Celtic boss Neil Lennon is a candidate to become the club’s new manager.

Earlier today, my colleague Euan told you how former Hoops captain Lennon could be about to replace Paul Cook, who was sacked on Saturday. (Daily Mirror, 08/12/21 print edition page 51)

Ipswich are currently 11th in League One, nine points off the play-off places.

Lennon has been out of work since leaving Celtic in February of this year.

Ipswich fans have their say on Lennon

So not a lot of love for Lennon from Ipswich’s fans.

That final comment is the only positive response at the time of writing, but even then, there are Ipswich fans disagreeing below that tweet.

Ipswich and Lennon strangely seems like a decent fit.

Both have fallen in stature in recent years but have a decent reputation overall.

But the reaction from the Ipswich support suggests Lennon would have his work cut out from day one.
