North Curve Celtic have signalled their intention to once again hold a full-stadium Tifo display when the Bhoys take on Kilmarnock in their Scottish Premiership opener on August 4th.
Otherwise known as Flag Day, the first league match of the season is a chance to herald the achievements of the calendar year gone by before the new schedule takes hold.
Once the celebrations are over, the aim for Celtic will be to repeat their success of last term all over again as Brendan Rodgers eyes a second consecutive title in successive seasons.
Now, the fan collective has announced details ahead of what is set to be another momentous day at Parkhead.
North Curve Celtic’s Parkhead Tifo display plans
Taking to social media platform X, North Curve Celtic has announced their intention to hold a full stadium display vs Kilmarnock. Details on how to donate funds to the Tifo between now and Flag Day are also attached.
Uploading a photo of their plans, the attached messaging read: “As Celtic prepare to kick off the new season as Champions Again, the Green Brigade are planning a full stadium tifo to welcome the team onto the park for the unfurling of the flag before the first league match of the campaign against Kilmarnock On Sunday 4th August.
“With the backing of Celtic fans, we have been able to create some iconic tifos on big occasions like this over the years, and we hope this will be no different. After a difficult season last year where tifos were restricted, this is an opportunity for the Celtic support to set the tone for the upcoming league campaign.
“For the first time since the 2022/23 season, we are asking for donations from the wider fanbase to help make this possible. With at least four Champions League home matches, we will also hold a bucket collection at a later date, as well as further fundraising initiatives throughout the season.
“With your support, we hope we can inspire the team and help create more memorable displays at Celtic Park over the course of 2024/25. Thank you.”
Parkhead is set to be a wall of noise on Flag Day
Once again, North Curve Celtic and the Green Brigade, who are orchestrating the display, are committed to going to great lengths to ensure there is a raucous support cheering on the Bhoys once opening day comes around.
Fans across all four stands will have the chance to play their part, making for a memorable occasion that has become customary due to the club’s recent domestic success.
As the support prepares to give the team their backing across another exciting campaign, let’s ensure we all play our part in creating more history.
The link to donate is accessible here. Hopefully, the fixture against Kilmarnock can be met with a brilliant atmosphere and a result to match. Hail Hail!
