Celtic fans found out earlier today that Livingston released a statement regarding Tifo displays on show at the Tony Macaroni Arena last weekend.
The West Lothian club claim they didn’t permit either of the two banners and said the material, which read ‘Born into slavery they were Freedoms Sons’ was brought in through an emergency gate that was open due to safety concerns.
Livingston have also cited that they only granted permission for a Tifo in the South Stand; meanwhile, they also addressed concerns over away supporters in the home section.
It must be said that they were a school group on a field trip from the United States, who they allowed to stay in their seats but told to remove any Celtic colours.

North Curve Celtic reply to Livingston Tifo frustration
North Curve Celtic have taken to social media platform X in what seems to be a direct reply to Livingston, releasing a simple four-word message that reads ‘Don’t worry, be happy @LiviFCOfficial’ and a video showcasing the work that went into organising their range of displays in West Lothian.
Of course, we all know where the ‘dont worry, be happy’ reference originates from, and fans were heard belting out the anthem on Sunday, which has since gained traction online.
At the beginning of the second half, another banner read, ‘Hold on to our title, Bhoys, don’t give up the dream.’ It was accompanied by a wall of smoke behind Joe Hart’s goalmouth.
