Norwich City captain Grant Hanley has shared that the two Celtic players he’d like to play with most in the English Premier League, speaking to Hoops skipper Scott Brown on the club’s official YouTube channel.
The two sides share the same sponsor and one of the initiatives during the lockdown has been uploading chats between both captains to entertain supporters.
In today’s edition, Hanley discussed which of Neil Lennon’s players he’d love to play alongside.
He said: “Someone I’d love to share a dressing room with to see what he’s got would be Leigh Griffiths. I’ve spent a bit of time with him in Scotland squads and he’s a top guy.
“He’d keep the boys going. We’ve got a really good dressing room, the boys are all together and there’s a great team spirit. But in terms of banter, we might be lacking a wee bit. There’s not an awful lot.
“If we had Griff involved I think he would definitely bring a lot to the party. He’s obviously a goalscorer too.
“Player-wise, I’d probably have to go with Edouard. He’s phenomenal isn’t he? His record speaks for itself.”
The pick of Odsonne Edouard is no surprise of course considering the season he’s just had.
However, choosing Griffiths could be seen as something of a surprise, although there’s also no question he was in exceptional form prior to the suspension of football.
The Scotland international does indeed seem a popular player in the dressing room.
Thankfully it doesn’t look like either striker is leaving Glasgow anytime soon, whether for Norwich, the Premier League or anywhere else.
The goal-scoring duo have struck up quite the partnership in 2020 and it’ll be one of the anticipated pairings when Celtic do return to action on the pitch.
