All the legends were out on show in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon.
From Celtic’s most decorated player of all time, James Forrest, to the man he surpassed, Bobby Lennox, including the likes of Martin O’Neill, Stiliyan Petrov and Chris Sutton.
The latter trio were on punditry duty for Sky Sports, as Celtic’s 1-1 draw with St Mirren ended with James Forrest getting that much-wanted record-breaking goal.
Like the champions of Scotland have been doing for many, many, many years now. This was trophy day, and a time to celebrate.
The 2024/25 Premiership crown itself was confirmed last month when Celtic thrashed Dundee United at Tannadice.
In truth, it should have been wrapped up a lot earlier, but still, it was all delivered without any real fuss, as Rodgers also watched another Rangers manager get booted out.

Chris Sutton on Celtic making 2024/25 Premiership title win ‘really easy’
Four titles in a row for the club itself, four out of four seasons for Rodgers over his two spells, including 14 out of the last 15.
This is becoming beyond the norm for Celtic, and Sutton made it clear that Rodgers’ side are making all of this look ‘really easy’.
But the former striker added that it’s ‘not Celtic’s fault’ that such routine titles are being won, as he sent a subtle dig to Rangers about how they need to step up and ‘challenge’, as he told Sky Sports Football (17/05/25).
“You said at the top, ‘never in doubt’,” said Sutton. “But you have to earn titles, and Celtic have made it look really easy this season.
“Martin (O’Neill) used to regularly whack it out there, ‘it’s hard winning games of football’. The commitment the players have shown. The attitude, and they have absolutely walked it this season.
“That’s not Celtic’s fault. It does seem routine. It just does, that’s the way it is. It’s up to other teams to challenge. Celtic just need to carry on.”

Celtic have continued to win title after title after title. Not forgetting the numerous Trebles, whether it’s Rodgers’ first spell, Ange Postecoglou or now with the Irishman again if they beat Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final.
To put it simply, the trophies speak for themselves.
