Celtic attacker Odsonne Edouard has revealed that he is pleased with the current striking situation with the club.
Celtic usually only play one striker in their system – and at the moment it is Odsonne Edouard. However, the Hoops currently have three first-team strikers, with Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Issouf Bayo also in the squad.
Edouard feels that having three strikers who are fit and raring to go is better than having one striker who is currently struggling with fitness, but has to play anyway.

“We are also lucky this season to have three good strikers, all in form and with no injury problems” he said, as reported by the Daily Record.
“It’s much better for the team to have all the players at 100 per cent than maybe one at 70 per cent, because that doesn’t work.”
It will be interesting to see if Celtic play with two strikers up-front any time soon. That is not a system that Neil Lennon has tried that often during his spell at the club.
However, perhaps in an upcoming league game, Lennon could try it out. It would be good to see Eoduard paired with Bayo, for example.
Trio have impressed this season

It is hard to argue with Edouard’s assessment on the striker situation at the club. The three strikers have impressed this season.
Leigh Griffiths has played well in the games he has been involved in. Bayo has done well this season, showing why the club bought him in the first place. Of course, the main striker is still Edouard.
However, when it comes to signing players in the January transfer window, the Hoops don’t have to strengthen when it comes to forwards.
