Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has commented on his future away from Glasgow.
The record signings has told a French blog that he wants to sign for a big club in future. Edouard didn’t say who or when but he is focused on getting into the national team.
The Bhoys are going to have to pull out all the stops to keep him longer than this season.
Odsonne Edouard speaks on future away from Celtic
Brendan Rodgers’ £9 million signing from PSG has revealed his career ambitions.
Célya and Co, a French blogger, interviewed Edouard and asked him about his future.
He said: “Someone can wish to achieve dreams but I would say that these are objectives with time.
“These objectives are to be able to wear the French national shirt but also to be able to play for one of the best clubs in the world.”
The Hoops faithful won’t go against the top scoring Frenchman against having ambitions.
However, the former Toulouse man knows that it takes a lot of hard work to get there. His comments are different to the controversial outburst in the summer by Olivier Ntcham.
Nevertheless, the fan favourite will, like Ntcham, need to continue to show massive clubs why they deserve to play there like others before them.
Edouard makes smelly Eboué Kouassi admission
The 22-year-old said the closest player in the squad to him is Eboué Kouassi.
Celtic’s Ivorian midfielder is out with a cruciate ligament injury but has had little game time since joining from FK Krasnodar.
However, Edouard has given the supporters an unusual locker room secret of his friend.
Edouard said: “After training he won’t take his shower.
“It’s already known that he goes directly back home after training without being washed.”
Kouassi will be chasing after Edouard after he revealed that one.
