Odsonne Edouard has a knee injury and could return to action for Celtic against Hamilton next week, Neil Lennon has told reporters.
Edouard was missing from the matchday squad on Wednesday night away to Livingston.
It sparked fears he had tested positive for Covid-19 or was self-isolating.
However, The Glasgow Times reports that Lennon said he has a knee injury and could return at Celtic Park next Wednesday night.
The Frenchman hasn’t been at his best this season but his absence was still noticeable in West Lothian last night.
Celtic laboured to a 2-2 draw against Livingston. The Bhoys could have used his guile and attacking play in the final third.
Leigh Griffiths tried his best but wasn’t quite at full fitness and eventually had to exit the match.
Lennon continues to snub Albian Ajeti too, with Patryk Klimala brought off the bench in the second half.
Edouard is very likely to leave Celtic this summer. The chances Celtic fans have to see him in action are now limited.

It’s now something of a farewell tour for the striker in the remainder of the season, with the Scottish Premiership gone and the Scottish Cup’s future uncertain.
Hopefully, his knee issue isn’t serious and that he can come straight back into the side for the visit of Accies.
In other news, for Celtic to make any progress Neil Lennon has to go.
