Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has scored his fair share of goals.

Although heavily criticised by a number of supporters this season, Eddy has been banging them in. He’s bagged 21 in all competitions, with 16 Premiership strikes for the Bhoys.

Increasingly linked with a move away from Celtic, the media team at Lennoxtown know there might only be so long to use their marketable French star. Edouard, who has made 160 appearances for the Bhoys [Transfermarkt], was sat down and asked for his favourite Hoops strikes.

“I came on as a sub and wanted to change the direction of the game. I contributed to the victory with that goal. It was James [Forrest] who passed the ball to me and I was against two Aberdeen defenders.

“I saw the goalkeeper coming out, so I decided to chip the ball with my left foot and then it just went in below the bar. It is one of my favourite goals I still like to watch today.”

Who can blame Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard for his selection?

In fairness to Eddy, just watch that goal again [SPFL/YouTube]. It’s an absolute peach, a beautiful chipped ball right over Aberdeen goalie Joe Lewis.

Bear in mind that Celtic were close to losing that game. A Sinclair hat-trick was needed, along with Eddy’s goal, to seal the points on a tough evening in Aberdeen.
