Odsonne Edouard paid tribute to his Celtic teammates on the day he secured the Premiership’s Player of the Month award for August.
The Frenchman secured the prize after scoring in both of the league matches he played during the month, while he also netted in the victory over Rangers at the start of September.

But while most of the recent spotlight has been on his personal performance, he was keen to promote the work of his Celtic teammates who have helped him reach a good level.
“The important thing is that we continue in the same vein really,” Edouard said of the team’s current form. (STV)
“I’ve been working really hard in training, so that’s paid off. But the important thing is this is a team result.

“I’m playing well because the team is playing well. Yes, I hope this is going to continue, but it’s not just about me, it’s the whole team supporting me.”
Edouard should target 30 goals for Celtic this season
It’s remarkable how valuable the victory at Ibrox has proven to be for the current Celtic first-team. That one result seems to have made pretty much all of the early season negativity disappear, and the team are acting in a different manner completely.
You get the feeling that the Ibrox win released so much nervousness and anxiety from the start of the season and the failure to qualify for the Champions League against Cluj.

Lennon’s men can now look forward and try to maintain this form over an extended period of time, as Edouard alluded too.
It would be great to see the Frenchman go on a terrific goalscoring run too. He has all the ability to hit the 30 goal mark this season and that really should be a top aim for him.
If he can do that then we’ll be well placed to do well in Europe and perhaps even complete another treble.
