New Celtic recruit Christopher Jullien will see one familiar face when he hooks up with the rest of the squad in Austria.
The 26-year-old is to travel to Celtic’s pre-season training camp over the weekend where he will get to grips with Neil Lennon and his new teammates. However, one current Hoops player will be familiar to the 6ft 5in giant.

Back when Celtic were sealing an Invincible treble in 2016/2017, Jullien was playing alongside Odsonne Edouard for Toulouse. The Hoops striker was on loan at the Ligue 1 side from PSG, trying to earn himself some game time.
He spent a full season at the south of France side and made lots of friends – including Jullien.
Edouard was asked for his thoughts on Celtic’s latest recruit during a Q+A run by the official Celtic Twitter account.
Jullien can look at Edouard example
Strangely enough, Jullien outscored Edouard by some margin during their one and only season together. The centre-back netted five times in 36 appearances for Le Téfécé while Edouard scored just once in 17 appearances – although only five of them were starts.

Edouard has come on leaps and bounds since his original loan move to Glasgow two summers ago. The hope is that, despite being older, Jullien can do the same.
It will be nice for the defender to see a familiar face when he arrives in Austria. He’ll also have compatriot Olivier Ntcham and fellow language speaker Eboue Kouassi at the club so hopefully he feels well at home. Then the hard work will begin.
