Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard may be looking forward to this Sunday’s Glasgow Derby at Ibrox, but he also has an eye on the past.
March 11th may not be too memorable a day for many Hoops fans. But it ought to be.
It was the day when we beat Rangers at Ibrox with ten men. The day when everything conspired against us and we still won. The day when Edouard became a proper Celtic player.
And he’s still clearly a fan of his famous winning goal in the 3-2 win, as he shared a still image of the brilliant strike on his Instagram story. (o.edouard_18)
Edouard didn’t attach any comment to the image of the goal – remaining silent.
But, then again, words can’t do some strikes justice.
Edouard will be our key man at Ibrox again on Sunday
The Ibrox faithful probably won’t be fearing anyone more than Edouard come Sunday.
And it’s little wonder given the Frenchman’s imperious record against them.

Four of his derby goals have come at Celtic Park but he has registered two at Ibrox – including the aforementioned goal in 2018.
Edouard is the man for the big occasion and you just know he’ll be relishing the chance to score some more big goals this weekend.
Having a partner alongside him in Leigh Griffiths would make things a little different from previous derbies.
But the pair have struck up such a ruthless partnership in Scotland since the turn of the year. Playing at Ibrox should be nothing to them.
