The Celtic Academy Twitter account has been busy in recent days posting brilliant footage of Celtic youngster continuing to train and develop their skills in isolation.

The ongoing health crisis has ensured that group training cannot take place, based on official government guidance.

However, some devoted potential young players haven’t let that stop them working hard and ensuring that they don’t return to training rusty.

From solo training in an open patch of grass…

To training in what appears to be a shed…


To even using outside walls as a passing partner…


It seems the young team are showing real creativity in ensuring their ball skills and fitness remains up to par, with dreams of one day playing for the first-team no doubt in their mind.

They all clearly have a love of training and football and in difficult times, the posts are a heartwarming reminder that we must all try to ensure that life goes on as normally and safely as possible.

When group training does return, these youngsters will be well placed to impress and potentially move up age groups at the club.

In recent years there’s been a well-worn path from the development sides into the first-team and although these kids are all a long way away from that, manager Neil Lennon is also a great believer in giving young players chances.
