Celtic fans will be delighted with some recent comments made by January arrival Oliver Burke. The Hoops attacker, who joined the club on loan from West Brom, has disclosed that the recent departure of Brendan Rodgers hasn’t affected his enjoyment of the game.
Whilst some players were no doubt shocked by Rodgers’ decision to join Leicester City, Burke is adamant that it hasn’t bothered him.

“I don’t care”
“As long as I’m playing football and enjoying myself I don’t care who the manager is” he said, as reported by the Scottish Sun.

“I wouldn’t say I was disappointed that Brendan has gone. Personally I’m still happy here. I’m enjoying my football.”
Music to the ears of the support

That attitude will be music to the ears of the Hoops support. Burke seems firmly committed to the Celtic cause, no matter who the manager is.
Burke will have a role to play under Hoops interim boss Neil Lennon. Intriguingly, Lennon played Burke as the Hoops’ main striker against Hibernian, with Odsonne Edouard playing as the support forward.
It will be interesting to see if that formula is replicated going forward.
There’s no doubt fans of the Hoops would love to see Burke join the club on a permanent deal. Unfortunately, West Brom have said there is no chance of that happening.
If Burke is to depart in the summer, at least fans will see a player fully committed to Celtic until then.
