Oliver Burke had another good game for Celtic away to Hearts as the attacker carries on making a big impression at Celtic.

The loan signing from West Brom has hit the ground running at the Bhoys and showed his worth to the team at Tynecastle.

His sensational unselfish assist for James Forrest’s opening goal summed up his ability as a team player.

Burke’s biggest asset is his pace. He is lightening quick. His pace caused the Hearts defence problems all game long.

His link up play is very underrated at times. He has been rusty, but has shown positive signs that he can be a big player for Celtic.

Everyone was excited to see how Brendan Rodgers would mould Burke during his loan spell.

The initial spells have been positive, and although Rodgers has now left, Burke looks set to carry on his form.

After being left out against Motherwell on Sunday, Burke’s reintroduction to the team gave Celtic the platform they needed to attack against Hearts.

He was a constant threat the entire game, and his part in Celtic’s opening goal summed up his performance.

A lightening counter attack from a Hearts set piece, Celtic sprung forward in numbers.

Henderson’s exquisite pass released Sinclair on the left. The winger slipped in Burke who raced through on goal.

The Scottish internationalist calmly slotted the ball to his right for the on-rushing Forrest to tap into an empty net.

Burke showed all the composure many fans said he was lacking. In the second half his pace continued to cause Hearts problems.

He nearly carved out a winner when he skipped by his defender on the right hand side like he wasn’t even there. His pull back just evaded the trio of Celts busting a gut to get on the end of it.

Can Celtic keep Burke?

Obviously the departure of Rodgers makes an already unlikely task of keeping Burke seem impossible now.

The winger would almost certainly cost Celtic a record transfer fee. And with no permanent manager at the helm, would the club sanction that without a man in place?

If Burke continues to make a big impression at Celtic under Neil Lennon, they may be temped into keeping both Lennon and Burke at the club.

Burke is becoming a huge asset for Celtic. They may regret not pushing the boat out to keep him.
