Oliver Burke names his smartest Celtic team-mate

Celtic attacker Oliver Burke has named the player who he thinks is the smartest in the Hoops squad. That player – centre-back Dedryck Boyata.

Burke made the revelation in a video on the Celtic YouTube channel.

“Dedo, maybe, he’s always thinking” he said when asked who the smartest man in the Hoops dressing room is.

Perhaps it is no surprise that Boyata is the smartest man in the Hoops dressing room. After all, he is potentially set to receive a huge wage rise should he leave the Hoops for England at the end of the season.

Oddly, he is sometimes prone to unexpected errors on the pitch. So perhaps he is smarter off the pitch than on the pitch.

Enjoying life at the club

Looking at the video overall, which features Burke discussing his team-mates, its’ clear to see he is enjoying life at Celtic.

Will that a bearing overall on his future, probably not. There’s no doubt Neil Lennon would love to keep Burke and Boyata at Celtic next season.

Both players could leave in the summer

At the moment though, neither player is likely to be at the club as they hopefully go for their ninth title in a row.

Even if the pair leave the club in the summer, they can still be exiting as heroes. Should the Hoops win a third consecutive domestic treble Burke and Boyata will go down in the history books.
