Celtic will have to wait a while for Olivier Ntcham to return to the club for pre-season training. The midfield will continue to play for France in the under-21 European Championship.
Ntcham completed his first 90 minutes in the tournament as France drew 0-0 with Romania to reach the semi-finals, where they will play Spain on Thursday.
Low-key game

The France-Romania game was a low-key affair, with both sides conserving their energy for the semi-finals. Will any of the clubs reportedly interested in Ntcham have been impressed with his performance? It’s hard to say.
It would not be a shock if Ntcham found himself back on the bench for France for their semi-final.

This also affects Celtic. The player will more than likely miss the first Champions League qualifier against Sarajevo as he will need a break once the tournament ends.
Doubts over player’s future at club

There is, of course, doubts about Ntcham’s long-term future with Celtic. A host of clubs are reportedly interested in the player.
Lyon, Porto and Marseille have all been credited with an interest in the midfielder. Celtic would like to keep the player. But if the money is right, he could be sold.
Ntcham’s future at the club will no doubt become clearer after the under-21 tournament ends. It promises to be a big season for Celtic, only time will tell if Ntcham is involved.
