Brendan Rodgers saw a fair few players leave Celtic this summer.
Nicolas Kuhn was the club’s main sale, departing for Como at the beginning of the summer and earning the Hoops a healthy profit.
Greg Taylor, Gustaf Lagerbielke and Adam Idah were also among those to depart, as Rodgers got to work on his squad ahead of the final year of his contract.
The Hoops boss made his demands clear and public, but not all of them were met. Regardless, the side were still able to shift some dead wood.
And for one Hoops man who was sent out on loan this summer, a horror tackle which led to a straight red card has forced him into a public apology.
Celtic man apologises for straight red tackle
Stephen Welsh, Maik Nawrocki and Luis Palma were among those sent out on loan this summer, in hope of gaining more first-team minutes.

Palma has been getting that – but on Wednesday night, things took the wrong turn when a horribly timed tackle left his opposing captain with a worrying injury which saw him substituted.
The Honduran has been in good form for Polish side Lech Poznan, and that initially continued in their 2-2 league draw against Rakow Czestochowa.
He assisted his side’s opener before getting on the scoresheet himself on the brink of the interval – but it was just after the restart that Palma deservedly saw red.
His tackle on Rakow captain Zoran Aresnic was a nasty one – and Palma has now publicly apologised for it with an Instagram story post.

It remains to be seen if Palma will face an extended ban for the challenge.
Do Lech Poznan have an option to buy Luis Palma from Celtic?
Many expected Palma to leave Celtic permanently this summer, with the 25-year-old firmly out of Rodgers’ plans.
However, the Polish side do hold an option to buy the forward for a price of around £4.5 million.
Should the option be triggered, it would see Celtic net a profit on the fee paid to sign him from Greek side Aris in 2023.
But the only fee that will be on Palma’s mind now will be the fine that he will have to pay after his ugly challenge which, in his words, let his side down.
