Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was in a buoyant mood after today’s resounding 4-1 win over Hearts and even had a bit of good fun with BBC reporter Kenny Macintyre.
Macintyre has consistently interviewed the Celtic manager throughout the season and has had his fair share of run-ins.
Even before today’s game, he was asking some strange questions framed by Neil Lennon’s statement of players not wanting to be at the club last season.
After the match, Macintyre obviously congratulated the Celtic boss but asked him if he had a preference when it comes to clinching the title, whether it be Rangers dropping points tomorrow or without a home crowd on Wednesday night.

Postecoglou’s response was simple and superb, telling BBC Radio Scotland [14:19]: “Only you could make winning a championship feel like a downer. No, mate, any way it comes, thank you.”
Postecoglou was then asked about the pride he takes from this season, to which the boss said: “Nothing is greater than seeing the joy you bring to people – whether it’s your own family or supporters of this football club. It’s a cliche but it is priceless.
“It gives you the best feeling. That’s the biggest motivator.
“The stuff that remains in people’s memories, things you had an impact on, it is precious.”
I am sure Postecoglou will be in magnificent media form over the next week or so. He’s not going to take any cheek from anybody. He also won’t let anyone diminish Celtic’s success.
He remains laser-focused on the Bhoys getting over the line officially. After that, he’ll already be looking to next season. That’s his mindset.
We have good times ahead everyone.
