There is no doubt that Ryan Christie is the form player in Scotland right now. His recent hat-trick against St Johnstone took his tally of goals for the season to six in all competitions.
Now he has received praise from an unlikely source. Former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson has declared himself a fan of the player.
“He ran the show from start to finish” Ferguson said, whilst appearing on PLZ soccer – the football show.
“He’s getting better”

“The guy’s oozing qualify just now. He’s a confident young guy. I think he’ll be one of the first names on the team sheet. Quality player, and he’s getting better week in, week out now.”
Christie has picked up his excellent form from last season, and he already looks to be one of Celtic’s most important players this season.
Manager’s decision has paid off

His eye for goal is truly special, as shown with his precise finishes in the recent 7-0 win over St Johnstone. Neil Lennon’s decision to move the player into a ‘number 10’ role has also paid off.
If anything, it has added a new level to Christie’s game. He was excellent for the Hoops last season, but already this season he looks to be even better.
Christie will be looking to add to his goal tally when the Hoops take on Cluj on Wednesday night. If he can keep up his run of form, it could be a night to remember for the Hoops.
