Our View: Christopher Jullien response to Celtic loss bodes well

It has been very quiet at Celtic following the 3-1 Europa League loss to Copenhagen. The club didn’t even post on Twitter on Friday, as reflection took place on what was a thoroughly disappointing defeat.

However, one man has responded to the loss, and broken the club’s silence on the exit from Europe – Christopher Jullien.

Jullien took to Instagram on Friday to give his view on the loss, and the team going forward for the rest of the season.

“Let’s get back to it!”

“That’s a tough one guys! But we still have other wins together! Let’s get back to it” he said, before using a few hashtags, perhaps the most intriguing being #stillfocused.

Those comments from Jullien bode well for the Hoops going forward, and for the chances of the team winning the treble.

For a start, he is going to be one of Celtic’s most important players going forward for the rest of the season. He already seems to be one of the leaders in the team, even though he has been at the club for less than a year.

Positive sign that talent is already looking forward

The fact that he is aiming to put the loss behind him and focus on potential victories with the Hoops can only be a positive sign.

Hopefully one that is shared by his team-mates. The Hoops players don’t have long to dwell on what was a dreadful night, as Celtic are back in action on Sunday against St Johnstone in a vital Scottish Cup encounter.

Celtic’s players will need to have the correct attitude on display against the Perth side to book a place in the semi-final of the competition.

It looks like Jullien has the correct attitude already. It is time for the Hoops to move on from the loss to Copenhagen, and start the quest to complete nine in a row and fourth successive domestic treble.

How important will Jullien be for the rest of the season? Can he lead the Hoops to another treble? Share your thoughts below with a comment in our new discussion forum…
