Read MoreOwen Moffat nets sublime Wednesday goal; now Celtic fans want to see him in the first-team
Celtic fans have been reacting after hot talent Owen Moffat netted a sublime goal on Wednesday night.
Sadly, that opening paragraph isn’t in relation to our Champions League tie against FC Midtjylland, but a Lowland League clash against the University of Stirling.
The Celtic B side recorded their first league victory in style, winning 5-1 at Stirling Albion’s Forthbank Stadium.
Strangely, all six goals arrived in the final 34 minutes, with Adam Brooks (2), Rocco Vata and Ben Wylie all getting on the scoresheet.
But it was Moffat’s sublime chip that was the pick of the bunch.
With just a few minutes to play, Moffat receives the ball from a long diagonal on the left hand side. His first touch is immaculate and his second in a dink over the goalkeeper from 30 yards.
But don’t just take my word for it, have a look for yourself.

Celtic fans are loving Moffat’s goal
Given how wasteful Celtic were in front of goal in Denmark last night, it is perhaps not a surprise that many fans wish Moffat had been involved.
Here are what fans are saying about the goal, and Moffat’s bright future.
So a lot of praise for young Moffat. Can he now force his way into Ange Postecoglou’s first-team plans?
It’s early days, but the 19-year-old already looks like a class above a lot of players in the Lowland League.
Perhaps a loan move to a fellow Premiership club is something Celtic should be targetting,
Either that or the left-wing berth in Ange’s team.
