“Pandemonium”; Celtic showcase class new footage from late victory

Celtic have this morning released brilliant close-up footage of the Bhoys’ dramatic late victory over St Johnstone on Saturday.

Despite a dominant performance against the Perth side, the Hoops found themselves in the position of dropping points in the league following a late St Johnstone equaliser.

However, in classic Ange Postecoglou fashion, Celtic didn’t stop until the final whistle, producing a dramatic late goal of their own to take home all three points.

Over the years, Celtic supporters have become accustomed to huge late goals, and this weekend’s game was no different.

Last season, we saw how crucial late results against Ross County and Dundee United were, which likely added to the celebrations in the crowd.

St Johnstone’s equaliser in injury time came as a huge frustration to everyone watching on. But, there are arguably no better feelings in football than producing a late goal of your own, which was deserved going off the Bhoys’ overall performance.

I am sure many Celtic supporters have already watched Giorgos Giakoumakis’ winner at McDaimaid Park on several occasions. However, this morning, the club’s social media team released fresh footage of the Greek frontman’s strike.

Celebrations for both goals and in the aftermath of the game were included in this week’s version of the club’s ‘Unique Angles’ series as fans relive what could prove to be another huge result thanks to a late goal.

I highly recommend any supporter gives his footage a watch, showcasing the class scenes between both the playing squad and those lucky enough to be in Perth on Saturday.

Late strike should prove Bhoys with chance to build up momentum once again.

Although Saturday’s display wasn’t the best performance Ange Postecoglou’s side will ever produce, the Bhoys more than deserved to come away with all three points.

It looks as though we might have been denied those points when Alex Mitchell produced a surprise leveller, only for Giakoumakis to produce another crucial strike for Celtic.

The late winner has left supporters buzzing once again following a slightly frustrating display midweek in Germany against RB Leipzig.

So, with the Germans now travelling to Glasgow for the reverse fixture tomorrow evening, the Hoops should look to use the joy and buzz of Saturday’s victory to build up the momentum on the domestic and European front again.
