James Forrest admits that he and his Celtic teammates have had to remain patient as they close out the title.
It looked like the championship may be secured much sooner after our victory over Rangers in March. That 2-1 win moved us 13 points clear of our rivals with seven games to play.
Since then Steven Gerrard’s side have embarked on a four game winning run while we have dropped points to both Livingston and Hibernian.

The gap is down to nine points, but with just three games to play. That means that this weekend is looking like the clincher for Neil Lennon’s side, with the Gers still requiring a miracle.
And despite it taking slightly longer than expected, Forrest will still be pleased to cross the finishing line.
The Hoops winger told the official Celtic website: “We’ve now got four games to go, so it’s a big push to hopefully go on and get some good results.
“We have stayed patient and we know that the title is not going to be given to us – we have to go out and win it.
“So we’re looking forward to Saturday’s game and preparing the right way because we know it’s going to be a hard game.”

The results haven’t been that bad in run-in
Celtic’s recent league form actually makes for pretty good reading. Since Neil Lennon came in we’ve played eight games, winning five and drawing three. Lennon’s side have conceded just two goals in those matches, scoring eight.
The frustrations have been more down to the level of performance from the side – with late goals in three of the matches perhaps masking tentative displays.

How Celtic can win the title
We need just a single point from our final three matches to secure eight-in-a-row.
If we were somehow to lose all three matches then Rangers would still have to beat both Hibernian and Kilmarnock to have any chance of winning the league.
