Perrie Edwards, Little Mix member and fiancée of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, says she would ‘love’ to see the midfielder stay at Celtic this summer.
That’s after his short-term contract in Glasgow expired following a league and Scottish Cup double, adding to the 32-year-old’s already-plentiful trophy haul.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was convinced to come to Glasgow by Martin O’Neill in January after spending a period training with Arsenal as a free agent.
Without his match-winning goals against Livingston and St Mirren, there would have been no league title.
Extend Ox’s contract, or let him go?

Perrie Edwards: I’d love Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain to stay at Celtic
Speaking on the Hanging Out podcast with Ant & Dec, Edwards said: “I love Glasgow. I’d love him to stay there a bit longer. It’s the best.
“I just love northerners, everyone is so chatty and friendly and approachable.”

On the day Celtic secured the league title with a dramatic 3-1 win over Hearts, she continued: “The atmosphere was epic.
“It was unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. The way they all ran onto the pitch, I’ve never seen anything like it.
“It was chaos, insane, but I loved it.
“I’m glad we were there to be a part of it, it was so good. We went out partying after it and that showed how old we are, how tired we are!
“I’m so proud of him.”
On the whole, Celtic fans won’t reflect fondly on the club’s January transfer window, which was made of mostly loan signings.
Along with Julian Araujo, Oxlade-Chamberlain was one of two successes who had a decisive influence on the outcome of the title race.

Midfielders expected to leave Celtic this summer
After serious interest in January, Arne Engels is now expected to leave Celtic, with a host of European clubs chasing the 22-year-old.
Reo Hatate was left out of the matchday squad for the final two games of the season, with the writing seemingly on the wall regarding his future. Paulo Bernardo is also completely out of favour.
A stellar debut season by Benjamin Nygren is also generating interest, and a rapid exit hasn’t been ruled out for the Hoops’ top scorer.
Even captain Callum McGregor hasn’t ruled out an exit, though we now have reason to hope that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be staying.
