The Celtic fans are waking up this morning to the reality that if the result at Ibrox goes our way, we could potentially be six points ahead in the title race before next weekend’s big game against Rangers.
It’s a great position to be in with just three games left of the season to go and Brendan Rodgers and his
Celtic players can relax today and watch on as the Ibrox club look to close the gap.
With all the pressure on Rangers now, the business end of the season is shaping up nicely for Celtic right now.
But it could have been so different yesterday had it not been for Joe Hart. As he has done many times before for Celtic this season, the retiring ‘keeper pulled off a save at a critical time and yesterday, he left Peter Grant absolutely blown away.
Joe Hart’s title-winning save for Celtic vs Hearts
There were two points in the game where Steven Naismith’s Hearts threatened the Celtic goal. Matt O’Riley’s first-minute block from a Lawrence Shankland effort and Joe Hart’s point-blank save when Celtic were 1-0 up.
And it was Hart’s save that left Grant in awe during his post-match instant reaction to the win.
Grant said [Celtic TV], “You can enjoy the three points today. A fantastic all-round performance. I think against the ball we were excellent.
“We won it back very quickly. We passed forward quickly. We got so many corners I lost count. We were so progressive in everything we did.
“But we can’t forget that Joe Hart had a wonder save at 1-0. That’s how important it is. They big moments.
“And that keeps you in there and that wins you titles. And everyone can talk about the Rangers game as much as they want now because we’ve got those three points in the bag.
“That was a big, big performance and the boys didn’t disappoint.”

There is no doubt that when Hart eventually hangs up his gloves at the end of the season he will be a sore miss for Celtic and the fans.
The Hoops support have built up a great rapport with the England legend as he gave us so much stability between the sticks after the Vasilis Barkas episode.
With just three games of the season left to go and the big Glasgow Derby coming up, you wouldn’t bet against Hart having a big say in Celtic picking up a positive result to effectively seal the title.
