Celtic’s run of 11 wins in a row in all competitions deserves to be celebrated. However, it could be said that it has flown under the radar. One of the reasons for that might well be that Celtic’s rivals Rangers have improved in comparison to recent seasons.
However, it should still be remembered that the Hoops have qualified for the last 32 of the Europa League – winning their group, when Rangers have yet to quality. The Hoops are also clear at the top of the Premiership table.
Neil Lennon seems to think that the Hoops’ good form has been overlooked in the rush to hail Rangers for providing a challenge so far this season.
“Gets overlooked”

“I think Rangers have improved, but I think what gets overlooked is that we’re improving too. We’re two points clear now” he said, as quoted by the official Celtic Twitter account.
It should be remembered that this time last season Celtic were in a league battle with the likes of Kilmarnock and Hearts. They had also dropped more points than they have so far this season.
Hoops in much better form than this time last season

After 15 games this season the Hoops have 40 points, last season after 15 games it was only 33 points. A seven point difference, that is testament to the consistency showed by Neil Lennon’s side so far this season.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about the 11 game winning run is that the Hoops have managed to keep it going in three competitions. The Europa League victories have been particularly impressive, and have helped the Hoops win their Europa League group.
Celtic of course have the chance to make it 12 wins in a row in Sunday’s Betfred Cup Final against Rangers. Perhaps if the Hoops manage to win the game, their run of form will get more accolades. As long as the Celtic support are celebrating 12 wins in a row, that will be the most important thing.
