Celtic today lifted the Premiership trophy that signaled their securing of eight-in-a-row.

The Hoops overcame a tough but much-changed Hearts outfit just one week before their Scottish Cup final clash. Neil Lennon, however, made seven changes of his own to the Celtic side.

There were chances to impress for the likes of Jeremy Toljan, Olivier Ntcham, Ewan Henderson, Mikey Johnston, and Karamoko Dembele to name a few. Johnston’s double, however, stole the show as he downed Hearts despite Jake Mulraney’s first-half equaliser.

The title party came afterward, with some great moments between the fans and players. Here, we take a look at some of the photos of the day:

A day to cherish

Regardless of who you want to be the new manager, we can all agree this is a day to cherish. Celtic have now secured eight consecutive league championships for only the second time in their history. Next year, it’s all about equalling the Scottish football record of nine, also set by Celtic.

It was hardly a glorious display, but with so many changes against Hearts, it was never going to be. Celtic did their jobs and got the victory on trophy day, which was the least fans wanted.

There’s no time for holiday mode to kick in just yet though. Hearts await once more with their first-team stars at Hampden Park this Saturday. A win and the treble-treble is won.

A simply colossal day in the club’s history awaits.
