Celtic fan group The Green Brigade showed off a tifo display celebrating the club’s history, prior to this evening’s match at home to Copenhagen in the Europa League.
A green and white mosaic provided the background for a large emblem of Celtic’s original red crest, with ‘SINCE 1888’ proudly displayed across the top.
While less elaborate than some of their brilliant past displays, sometimes simple is effective and this one got a positive pro-Celtic message across while looking great in the stadium and on TV cameras.
As discussed earlier today, the group had put out a plea to fans in the North Curve area to get into the stadium early and take part in the display, which everyone looked to do with great effect.
The atmosphere was electric prior to kick-off with everyone in the sold-out stadium well aware of what’s at stake tonight.
You can see an image of the display below, taken by one of the professional snappers at the game.

At the time of publishing, it’s half-time in the second leg against tonight’s visitors and Neil Lennon’s team initially responded to the positive atmosphere within Celtic Park, really taking the game to Copenhagen.
However, there’s still been no breakthrough and the game has become a scrappy and open affair, meaning things could be nervy after the interval.
The best chance of the game so far arguably fell to Mohamed Elyounoussi midway through the half. He broke away superbly and stretched the Danish defence but when the ball came back to him he couldn’t hit the target from inside the box.

Odsonne Edouard also had a good chance just before the half-time whistle, finding himself on the end of a Tom Rogic cross. Unfortunately, he couldn’t stick the header away.
Still 0-0 on the night and 1-1 on aggregate, everything remains in the balance but hopefully, the Bhoys can go on to do the fans proud in the second half and send us into the last 16 of the competition.
