Pictures: Celtic launch new £65 shirt with "future is our focus" claim
Celtic and Adidas have revealed the stunning new Bhoys away kit.
Using James Forrest as the model, the Bhoys announced the new jersey on Twitter. Using the slogan “The future is our focus”, the clip mixes images of Forrest in the kit with pictures of Celtic Park.

Using a badge similar to the popular black away kit from 20-21, the kit features more detail around the badge, as well as an emerald green base with gold detailing in the three stripes.
The club’s marketing for 21-22 seems to emphasise the return of supporters, as well as the club’s uninterrupted existence since 1888. Whether that’s a nod to our history, a dig at our neighbours or both, it’s good fun.
However, the main marketing slogan, “The future is our focus”, rings a teeny bit hollow given the current mess of that club. Maybe right now ought to be the focus. Whether that’s an Adidas-approved slogan for kit releases in general is another thing.
Another fine Celtic away kit from Adidas, but timing leaves much to be desired
After weeks and months of uncertainty, this is a bona fide good thing for supporters. It’s not a new manager or new players, or anything like that. But traditionally, as fans, we love a kit release. And this one is an absolute doozy.
By borrowing the classic green of old away kits, modernised with Adidas livery and a gold trim, it really is a smart offering. We still await the official release of the home and third kits, but the German manufacturers have so far made an excellent job of the Celtic jerseys, by just keeping it simple.
The shirt, retailing at £65, is released on June 24, in-store and online.
However, it’s not the announcement that supporters necessarily wanted today. At least we’ll look good when we still don’t have a manager.
