Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was last night voted as the PFA Manager of the season.

The 56-year old has guided Celtic to a six-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership with three games to go, overturning last season’s 25-point gap to Glasgow rivals Rangers.

Postecoglou also lifted his first piece of silverware as Hoops manager back in December when his side defeated Hibernian in the Premier Sports cup final.

Given the size of the rebuild, Postecoglou had on his hands at Parkhead and the position they now find themselves in at this point in the season; there was only one clear winner at the awards ceremony yesterday evening.

Postecoglou received the praise of many Celtic fans across social media after picking up his individual award.

But, there were also some messages from some of his old sides online, sending their congratulations to Ange.

Both South Melbourne, where Ange spent most of his playing days and started his managerial career, and Melbourne Victory showed their appreciation for the Hoops boss, sending classy congratulatory messages.

It just goes to show the sort of character Ange is, that he is still appreciated and held in such high regard by his former sides back in his homeland.

It is hard to find many people who would have a bad word to say about Ange.

During his first 12 months in charge, we have seen precisely why that is the case, and the Celtic support is loving almost every moment of Postecoglou being the manager at Parkhead.

Long may it continue.
