A potential leak of Celtic’s new Adidas away kit for next season has emerged online this afternoon.
The Hoops will head into their second season under Ange Postecoglou looking to make yet more progress as they defend their imminent title and attempt to make a mark in Europe.
And in a tweet by The Sellick, the Thunder, an image has been published showing what next year’s potential away gear could look like:
Celtic have yet to make an official announcement on their away kit for next season. Last year’s reveal was made in early June as supporters flocked to laud our emerald green strip.
Fans have been hugely impressed with the club’s partnership with Adidas since they linked up back in 2020, and this year they look to be potentially reimagining the 1993/94 away kit for the 2022/23 campaign.
Time will tell whether this is indeed what Adidas produce for next year, but it’s certainly a kit that’s going to capture the imagination after today’s potential leak.
Adidas and Celtic partnership looks like striking gold again
Whether this is the away kit or even a potential third kit, you just know it’s going to be snapped up by supporters. It’s an absolute cracker and the throwback element will touch the heartstrings too.
Recent Adidas away strips have been absolutely adored by the supporters. The lime green kit back in the 2020/21 campaign was highly successful and popular. The same again when it came to our dark emerald coloured jersey for the 2021/22.
Should the above be released as their next drop, it would likely make it a hat-trick of highly-lauded designs by the manufacturer.
The early reaction on social media already points to this being a real hit. Whether it eclipses this season’s stunning emerald number remains to be seen. But it’s a fine effort and something totally different from what we’ve been used to in recent years.
The potential leak comes as Celtic prepare to try and wrap up the title tomorrow night with at least a point at Tannadice. Fingers crossed that, as well as the kit above, does indeed come to pass.
