Impressive Celtic teenagers Ben Summers and Rocco Vata are the latest youngsters to get the opportunity to train with the senior Hoops side at Lennoxtown, the club’s video from today has shown.
Vata, 16, has been making great progress with club and country this season, scoring plenty of goals for Celtic B and youth Republic of Ireland sides.
He most recently provided an assist for the young Hoops in a Glasgow Cup match against Partick Thistle on Wednesday, helping Joey Dawson score.
Ben Summers, 17, meanwhile has been earning rave reviews for his recent Celtic B performances.
Speaking via Celtic TV, McIntyre said of the midfielder just last week: “He’s a talented kid [Summers]. He’s been working really hard. We know he’s still got a long way to go in terms of having to bulk up a little bit, but he’s got great footwork and he knows where the goal is. He’s got a good career ahead of himself.
It’s not much of a surprise to see them in training. Celtic B players have regularly joined up with the first-team to get some time in front of Ange Postecoglou.

It has even led to the likes of Owen Moffat, Ben Doak and Joey Dawson getting some minutes on the pitch in matches over the last few months.
There’s an increasingly fluid relationship between the youth and senior sides, which should help with the pathway towards talents establishing themselves at the club.
Here’s hoping we get even more debuts before now and the end of the campaign.
