Rangers fans get themselves hilariously raging about McInnes' positive Celtic comments

Despite enjoying a derby victory last week and a UEFA Europa League win on Thursday, it seems that some Rangers fans are still worried about Celtic.

If not worried, they are certainly angry.

Derek McInnes chose to praise Bhoys midfielder Ryan Christie on his pre-match media duties, suggesting he will be bursting to get onto the pitch at Pittodrie tomorrow.

Christie had been on the sidelines for a couple of weeks after having to self-isolate on Scotland duty. He returned from the bench against AC Milan mid-week and impressed.

He’ll now be aiming to start tomorrow’s huge Scottish Premiership fixture.

McInnes told broadcaster STV: “Knowing how much Ryan loves his football, then he will have been like a caged animal. Getting back out on the pitch will mean everything to him.

“He’s one of the many players that Celtic have who can make a difference in a game. But there are no doubts he will be expecting to go and I don’t expect anything different.”

Christie, of course, played for McInnes on loan at the Dons, so it’s not that surprising to hear positive comments from the long-serving manager after the Scotland international’s problems.

Quite why Rangers fans are getting so annoyed is unknown, but some seem to think it is evidence that Aberdeen are set to lay down at Pittodrie tomorrow.

You can see the amusing reaction below.

Hopefully, a comfortable Bhoys win keeps them fizzing…
