Tam McManus has shared that he has been told by a former teammate in Greece that Celtic new boy, Luis Palma is a ‘top, top’ player.
The individual in question seems to be Georgios Kyriazis because McManus shared that he is the current Greek women’s coach and they played together in the USA – both of them were at Rochester Rhinos in 2012/13.
Well, according to Kyriazis, Celtic and Brendan Rodgers have brought in ‘the best wide man in Greece’, as he told PLZ Soccer.
Luis Palma joined from Greek side Aris on a five-year deal, with the 23-year-old hoping to make his Celtic debut against Rangers on Sunday at Ibrox.
If the above claims about Palma are true, then the Celtic faithful are in for a treat, and hopefully, he starts to showcase his stuff straight away.
Nonetheless, this is the inside information McManus shared about the new man set to dazzle for Celtic on the wings.

MORE CELTIC STORIES
“The boy Luis Palma is an interesting one,” said McManus. “I still speak to a guy who I played with in the USA, a Greek guy, he is the Greek women’s coach over there.
“He was raving about him. He said that he was ‘the best wide man in Greece’. He thinks that Palma is a ‘top, top player’. That remains to be seen whether he backs that up. I think he might be a good signing as well.”

Celtic’s showdown against Rangers
It’s upon us and, as always, it’s a big’un.
Rodgers knows full well what these games are like and he will be well aware that the Bhoys need a positive result at Ibrox.
The last few weeks have been abject, but there is no better way to turn it around than to secure three points in Rangers’ back yard.
Something has to give here. Celtic have let themselves down on the pitch in recent weeks, but Rangers were well and truly smashed by PSV in midweek, as their morale will be on the floor after they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the game has a few mistakes in it because the form isn’t great on either side.
