Celtic are ‘monitoring’ St Pauli and Bosnian goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj, according to a report from Football Insider.
The 26-year old joined the 2nd division German side last summer. He played 33 games as they secured a fifth-place finish, three points outside the promotion play-off places.
His performances for St Pauli not only caught the eye of several sides but also earned the goalkeeper a first competitive international start for his nation last November.

According to the report, English duo Wolves and West Brom are also in the group of several clubs who are going to be watching Vasilj in action for his nation during the international fixtures this month.
It’s said the goalkeeper could be available for a cut-price of around £1.25 million this summer.
Currently, the Celtic goalkeeping situation seems to be settled, with former England internationalist Joe Hart being the club’s number one.
Nikola Vasilj would have tough competition at Celtic
Outside of Hart, Postecoglou has a number of goalkeepers who remain under contract with the club, including the likes of Scott Bain and talented youngster Tobi Oluwayemi.
After a disappointing two years in Glasgow, one player who is expected to head for the exit door this summer is former AEK shot-stopper Vasilias Barkas.
So, on paper, it wouldn’t suggest that Postecoglou would be in a rush to add another goalkeeper to his Celtic squad, notably after Scott Bain agreed to a new contract with the Hoops last season.
However, maybe it is a position that the club is keen to strengthen in the summer, whether that be the number one or a stronger back-up to Joe Hart. A situation to watch.
