Celtic are said to be monitoring the development of Linfield youth sensation Charlie Allen.

The 15-year-old, who could become Brit ever to play in the Champions League this week, is interesting several high profile clubs.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that the teenager is wanted by Liverpool, Tottenham, Leicester, Manchester United, Manchester City and Leeds while Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen are also keen to see what he’s all about.

Allen, who only recently made his first team debut for Linfield, has been named in David Healy’s squad for their clash against Rosenborg on Wednesday.

Would Linfield do business with Celtic?

Celtic and Linfield aren’t exactly the best of friends. The Northern Irish side hold a strong friendship with Rangers and they weren’t the most pleasant hosts when we visited there in 2017.

It would be interesting to see if they would even consider selling to us given some of the stuff that went on two years ago. However, the Belfast side aren’t exactly blessed with rich cash resources so if the money was right they would probably be forced to do business.

Allen is clearly one to watch given the hype around his early performances. It will be interesting to see where and when his next move comes from.
