Celtic defender Josip Juranovic is believed to be valued at ‘more than £15 million’ by the club, according to a report from Football Scotland.

Earlier this week, the Celtic right-back was linked with a move away from Parkhead, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano stating that the Croatian is expected to leave this summer.

However, the journalist failed to mention any clubs who were interested in making a move for Juranovic or close to striking a deal.

Speculation over the last few days surrounding the 26-year-old potential exit has died down after reports from the full-backs homeland suggested that he is happy at Celtic.

Despite rumours not coming to anything as of yet, there is no doubting that there will be interest in a player of Juranovic’s quality this summer.

And according to a report from Football Scotland, Celtic have set a firm asking price for the former Legia Warsaw man.

The report states that Juranovic is believed to be valued at upwards of £15 million, and no club has stepped forward to meet the Hoops valuation for the defender.

The Croatian internationalist doesn’t appear to be in a rush to leave Celtic Park, either and is thought to be excited by the prospect of playing Champions League football next season.

After signing Juranovic for just £2.5 million last summer and still having four years left on his current deal, Celtic are well within their rights to be on the lookout for big offers, should the interest come to fruition.

Champions League football will help Postecoglou keep his squad together going into next season.

Off the back of a disaster campaign the season previous, the Celtic support loved the relationship created between the players and fans last year.

There were so many characters that we grew to love, and one of the most prominent characters within the Celtic dressing room was clearly Josip Juranovic.

The full-back looked absolutely delighted to be at Celtic and enjoying every minute on the pitch under Postecoglou.

Earning Champions League football next campaign may have helped the Hoops manager keep his squad together this coming season after such an incredible first year.

Postecoglou will also want players who want to be here. If Jurnaovic makes it clear that he doesn’t, the 56-year-old has shown his ruthless side, and he will be replaced.

But, I cannot see that being the case with the popular full-back, and fingers crossed, we get the opportunity to see him continue his impressive form as a Celtic player.
