Celtic will be given three stands from four at McDiarmid Park for the upcoming Scottish Cup clash away to St Johnstone, The Scottish Sun report.

The Perth side had already announced back in January that they had taken the step to give us more briefs for league encounters between the two sides.

However, now Head of Football Operations Kirsten Robertson is taking the extra step of also allowing a bumper away crowd for the knockout fixture, apparently hoping to cash in on a big travelling Celtic support.

Neil Lennon’s side are on the hunt for a fourth consecutive treble and the cup clash is clearly a key fixture in that quest, no doubt attracting thousands of fans.

It’s said that up to 7,000 briefs will be available for travelling fans who want to cheer on Odsonne Edouard and company on Sunday, March 1st, just a few days after facing Copenhagen at Celtic Park.

With a place at Hampden up for grabs, Lennon’s team will be going all out to continue our fine form at the Perth venue.

Celtic have scored 21 goals in the last six visits to McDiarmid Park, conceding just two and winning every match. For some reason we just seem to relish a visit to play Tommy Wright’s side.

Our last match there was at the end of January with Olivier Ntcham, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths all scoring within half an hour to secure a 3-0 win.

Hopefully, that kind of form continues in the upcoming quarter-final.
