Celtic are heading to Dubai after tomorrow’s match against Rangers for a week’s training in a warm-weather climate, The Scottish Sun reports.
The trip has long been planned, with the SPFL even moving an upcoming fixture against Hibernian at Celtic’s request.
The Bhoys play the Edinburgh side on Monday 11th January after a visit to the training centre in Dubai.
The Scottish Sun reports the UAE is on a government list of exempt countries that means travellers don’t have to go through a 10-day isolation period on their return to Scotland.
Eyebrows may be raised about Celtic’s trip in the midst of spiking Covid-19 cases and stringent tier restrictions across the country.
However, previous trips to Dubai have been very useful for Celtic to regroup and recharge ahead of the second half of a season.
Neil Lennon will likely see this trip as a major boost to his plans for the rest of the campaign.
Although, I doubt the mood in the camp will be great if victory is not achieved at Ibrox tomorrow.

No amount of planning or training will be able to fill the hole Celtic find themselves in if Steven Gerrard’s team come out on top again.
