Christopher Jullien is on the verge of an exit from Celtic having come through a medical at Montpellier in Ligue 1 without any issues, L’Equipe reports.
The French outlet believes he is now set to sign a three-year deal for the club, with Montpellier paying Celtic in the region of €1m to buy out the last year of his contract at the Bhoys.
Jullien has had highs and lows at the Bhoys, winning a treble with the club over the 2019/20 campaign but also missing out on more than a year of action after a horror injury sustained against Dundee United.

It’s become increasingly clear he doesn’t have a part to play under manager Ange Postecoglou, so it’s the best thing for all parties to see him move on and rebuild his career elsewhere.
Some will note the low fee in comparison to the price he was bought for, but this might be a sign of a lack of options for the player this late in the window.
Jullien was a high first-team earner at the Bhoys, so getting him off the wage bill is a positive, especially in a summer when Postecoglou has added Cameron Carter-Vickers and Moritz Jenz to the set-up.
With Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh also in the mix, there was just no room for Jullien to get the minutes that made it worthwhile for him to stick around.
Returning to the French top-flight should be a good move for the 29-year-old and hopefully he gets the regular first-team football he is looking for over the coming season.
Good luck Christopher!
